Chromapolis Prototype
Working prototype of an interactive art piece where participants select a colour based on what they are feeling at that moment. Indicating location renders a map displaying the emotions of other participants in the city. Public displays become community art pieces that can track how a city feels at any given moment.

'The Heart of Your City' interactive experience
  • Imagine being able to see or know what a city is thinking or feeling at any given time. Imagine a community in which everyone can contribute to the whole by expressing these thoughts and emotions. Now imagine this being done anonymously and with instant visual feedback. Imagine Chromapolis.

Chromapolis will be an interactive system that maps the emotional state of Torontonians by using colour as a representation of those emotions. This will be achieved by giving the users the ability to select an emotion they are feeling from anywhere within Toronto. Visual feedback wand viewing a colour shifting mosaic and digital sculpture placed in a public space. The idea is that this can be applied to any city.
